Church Prophecies – Before 1980
The prophetic word in the church will bring perfection. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Prophecy did not die out in the early church. It continues today. That’s why Paul said, “Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.” The Church of Jesus Christ Forever relies on prophecy, and has seen many prophecies come to pass. They were fulfilled. That is, the true sayings of God. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth and is given to speak the words of Almighty God. We worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus fulfilled prophecy; so does The Church of Jesus Christ Forever. The testimony of Christ is the proof that Jesus is here. It is the spirit of prophecy.
In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God.
To prophesy, in the Scriptural sense, is to utter religious truth under divine inspiration; not only to foretell future events, but to warn, exhort, and comfort.
Of The Church He Has Spoken
In 1960, a man prophesied of the birthing of The Church. This is the story of that prophecy.
A missionary from India was visiting a local pastor in Oregon, Illinois. The missionary prophesied to Rose that she would be “The Pastor of The Church in Oregon, Illinois.” She did not live in the city of Oregon at the time. When the missionary asked his wife if she had any Word from the Lord for Rose, she said that she had a vision: that the church that God would give Rose would be a white cement block building.
In September, 1980, this prophecy was fulfilled when God spoke to a physician from Thailand, a Buddhist, to give one of his properties to her for a church. He did not know her at the time that God spoke. Through a neighbor, he found out who Rose was. He invited her to his home and gave her his building. It was a white cement block building. As a result of this doctor’s generosity, Rose offered him Jesus Christ; and he accepted.
God spoke it. God fulfilled it.
On April 24, 1979, the Lord spoke:
Yea, for I am not a God of the dead, but I am a God of the living. Yea, and for those that refuse to come alive in me, yea, surely they shall go the way of the grave; yea, but those that have chosen life, yea, that have chosen to live even as I have given life, surely they shall live. But those that refuse to hear my words in this hour at my coming, yea, they shall surely be taken out in death. But yea, those that shall hear shall live. Yea, for it is me that giveth life, saith God. Yea, and there is life in no other but by me, saith God. I give unto thee my people; I give unto thee life, saith God, yea, and the life of the Spirit. Yea, and thou shalt never die, yea, if thou shalt receive this for I am life, saith God.
And the life of the Spirit, yea, the life of the Spirit is in me, for there is no life in anything else; yea, for thy body shall drop off and thou shalt be corrupt, but yea, if thou dost look unto me, yea, I shall give thee life and thou shalt never die.
To the church and to all who hear
“For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.”
On April 29, 1979, the Lord spoke:
Yea, if my people will be willing to put the flesh down and retire the flesh in my hands, yea, even shall I strengthen and bring forth a people that the world has never seen the like. Yea, and they shall open their eyes wide and their mouths shall fall open in astonishment at a people that I shall bring forth out of this earth. Yea, for I have created thee from the dust of the earth. Yea, and I shall breathe upon thee of my Spirit, and yea, thou shalt come forth under my power and under my anointing.
On May 20, 1979, the Lord spoke:
Yea, keep thyself unspotted from the world. Be without blemish and pure of heart. Yea, and know that thy Maker is thine husband. Yea, and above all things seek my face that I shall reveal unto you all the mysteries of my kingdom. For my love is without end, and yea, it is eternal.
