Article 8: A Perfect Church
Whereas Jesus loved the Church and gave himself for it that he might present it to himself a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing and is the chief cornerstone thereof:
Whereas Rose made herself ready, thus laying down the foundation of this perfect Church and as a Good Shepherd desired not to go in alone:
Whereas Jesus said, “upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom.” (Matthew 16:18-19):
The Church of Jesus Christ Forever,
thus and therefore, states:
Section 1: that She must be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire;
Section 2: that She must study the scriptures to show herself approved unto God;
Section 3: that She must be obedient to the ministry giving herself to fasting and prayer;
Section 4: that She must have some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the work of the ministry;
Section 5: that She must be wholly dedicated to the will of God not possessing her own will;
Section 6: that She must be led by the Spirit of God in all matters;
Section 7: that She must be without fault or defect, that is without spot or blemish or any such thing;
Section 8: that She must have charity, which is the bond of perfectness;
Section 9: that She must be in the image of God which is sinlessness;
Section 10: that She must know who she is, what her place is in God and take that place in the Godhead next to Christ giving glory to God;
Section 11: that She must be pure to qualify as the Bride, the Lamb’s Wife, for we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife; and they two shall be one flesh;
Section 12: that She is called to the Melchezedek priesthood without beginning or ending.
Thus, the perfect church, the bride, shall be one with Christ to fulfill the eternal purpose of God, the kingdom here on earth.
LET US BE GLAD AND REJOICE, AND GIVE HONOUR TO HIM;
